i am v v proud to say....that my 3 months holidays have been well meaningfully spent on training myself up for l4d. L4D is now my life,n is e thing i look forward to.
still can remember e 1st time i played l4d with ken n xy..it was a disaster.. we could not even complete e advanced level of e no mercy map. back then, all tat realli was on my mind was my university final year exams.
ironically, l4d did not mean anything to me from e start. i was then a full time dota player(n part time university student) n venturing into l4d was out of my mind. however,all these changed one nite.... when ken n i were playing in bugis,... n i keep getting kicked,for no reason somemore...
i was very,.... no, i was fucking depressed n upset abt e unfairness. how could i get kicked 4 times in a row... i could not take it at all. from tat nite onwards, i declared myself to be a full time l4d player since it's my holidays. i took over my brother's account n played 15 hours a day.
but sadli,i never improved much. my break came however one nite.... i had e luck to play l4d with 3 friends,against 4 friends.. it was so great tat e lady labbit and another guy with a chinese name of "begging to be defeated" added me as a friend online..(e 3rd guy was bond,but he is unfriendly...till now,he is still vulgar n fierce to strangers) tat nite, i found the break through from beginner to advanced inhouse player.
later on,i realise they were from a clan called smt. every nite was a must to play l4d for me.i learnt many infected tactics n improved my survival skills tremendousli. i got to noe more smt players. eventualli,i got to join SMT, n to date,i am v proud to be still so. i mark zeus n labbit as my mentors in my heart.. but elephant's pride demands tat they r not aware.
playing l4d makes me feel like a yang guo in e condor heroes. in condor heroes, yang guo did not juz learn his fighting skills from e loctus sect. he goes all around e world n learn different styles of playing from e beggar's sect,e mongolian army...like wise,civilised elephant(my l4d nick) plays in lots of different servers n infiltrate a lot of friends game... cough...cough...civilised elephant is yang guo,,,cough cough
sadli,my l4d skills have reached e peak of an average player,n i am finding it v hard to find e 2nd break through.. it does not help tat i am now working in EDS,a hp company. in fact my l4d skills have dropped a bit,due to fatigue of working till ard 8pm. But not much drop,coz my silent passion is pushing me to play to my best, while my instincts n alertness dropped, my skills were still maintained.
oh yah hor.... how can i not mention tat i have found a new job... not bad job,seriousli HP is a good company,n i feel confident learning a lot n upgrading myself.
